In this episode of “Sex, Love, and Addiction: Healing Conversations for Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Men” Dr. David Fawcett welcomes his friend and colleague, Dr. Rob Weiss. David and Rob discuss sexual addiction and chemsex addiction, in particular why therapists should not separate the addictive relationship with drugs from the addictive relationship with sex. They also discuss Rob’s belief that gay and straight male addicts should be in treatment together because the commonality of being men can create meaningful dialog and connection. David and Rob also discuss the fact that what most addicts want more than anything is a meaningful connection.
