You can’t save your face and your ass at the same time.
Many recovering sex addicts worry that if they go to a twelve-step meeting and tell the truth about their addiction, others will judge them and possibly even gossip about them. And this may in fact happen, though usually not. Instead, the vast majority of fellow addicts will appreciate the honesty, and they will also likely identify with the feelings experienced (and quite possibly the actual behaviors). Generally, twelve-step sexual recovery rooms are filled with empathy and support, rather than judgment. After all, anything that one sex addict has done, at least a few others in the room have probably also done.
