Sex Addiction, Relationships, Recovery

When God closes a door, he opens a window.

Sex addiction wreaks havoc on relationships. Recovery can remedy this. When we begin recovery, if we are married or in an otherwise committed relationship, recovery brings a deeper understanding of both our own and our partner’s emotional needs and desires, while encouraging and allowing both parties to become more emotionally intimate within the relationship. If we are not in a romantic relationship, recovery builds self-esteem and helps us make healthier choices about dating, sexuality, and (if we so desire it) the formation of a long-term intimate partnership.
