The process of discovering who you are begins with knowing who you don’t want to be.

Nearly every digital-era sex addict has looked at porn, and most us would likely (if we were being completely honest) self-identify as using it compulsively. Often, we couple our porn use with compulsive masturbation and various forms of non-intimate partner sex such as webcam sex, sexting, anonymous sex, casual sex, affairs, prostitution, exhibitionism, voyeurism, etc. That said, porn addiction can be a standalone form of compulsive sexuality. In fact, in today’s world many of the people new to sex and porn addiction recovery have never been sexual in the real world with another person. Their sex life and sexual compulsivity has, from day one, been exclusively linked to porn.

Task for Today
Stop judging the sexual behaviors that brought you into recovery against the sexual behaviors that brought others into recovery.
