To be alive is to be vulnerable.
In her bestselling book, The Gifts of Imperfection, Brené Brown writes, “We cultivate love when we allow our most vulnerable and powerful selves to be deeply seen and known, and when we honor the spiritual connection that grows from that offering with trust, respect, kindness and affection.” This is the exact opposite of active sexual addiction, where we run from rather than embrace our feelings.
Just for Today: Offer yourself, your true self, to another person in friendship and love.
