One of the most common (and most powerful) triggers toward addiction relapse is anxiety. We feel anxiety, we don’t like it, and we turn to our addiction as a way to temporarily escape it. There are lots of healthy (non-addiction) ways to manage anxiety when we feel it, such as meditating, journaling, and exercising. But most of us would prefer to simply not have anxiety in the first place. One way to achieve this is to set some boundaries about our use of technology and social media.
