I have failed over and over in my life. That is why I succeed.
Winning can mean different things to different people. For recovering addicts, part of winning is staying sober. But usually there’s more to it than that. Addicts in recovery also want to live a better, happier life. And that looks different for each of us. Whatever you do, please don’t define winning as sitting on the couch and eating bonbons. Living an easy life is not winning. It’s not even trying. It’s sitting life out and sinking into a very deep rut. Finding a challenge, attacking it, and overcoming it is a much better way to think about winning. It’s also the key to living a better, happier life.
Just for Today:
Face and overcome a challenge you’ve been avoiding. When you’re done, pay attention to the sense of accomplishment this gives you.
