Asking for Help

It’s not the load that breaks you, it’s trying to carry the entire thing all by yourself.

Without doubt, the sex addicts who are most successful in recovery are those who willingly throw themselves into the sexual sobriety community—participating in sexual recovery meetings, socializing with other group members, making and taking recovery-related phone calls, and willingly being of service. The more we do this, the easier it is to reach out when we’re in need. When we are triggered toward our addiction, the most effective way to combat this is to talk to another recovering sex addict, letting that person know we are struggling and asking for assistance.

Just for Today:
Call another recovering sex addict. If you don’t need help yourself, ask how the other person is doing.
