Vulnerable people are authentic people. Rather than pretending to be someone they are not, they are sincere. They know who they really are, warts and all, and they are not afraid to show that to others. They walk away from situations in which they cannot authentically be themselves. Becoming vulnerable and authentic is a worthy goal for every person, especially recovering sex and porn addicts, because it is the opposite of what we do in our addiction. Addiction leads to isolation. Vulnerability and authenticity lead to intimate connection.
